Creating a permanent Cisco CrossView boardroom
The challenge
Flutter wanted to bring its Cisco CrossView meeting experience into the fifth-floor boardroom at its Dublin office. The equipment was operating in fourth-floor meeting room 4F04 as a trial setup, but the boardroom needed a permanent installation designed around its layout and existing AV infrastructure.
This involved more than moving equipment between floors. The cameras and displays needed carefully planned positions to give people joining remotely useful views of participants around the room. Ceiling microphones, audio, video distribution and network connections all had to work together as one meeting system. At the same time, room 4F04 needed to be returned to a practical configuration for general meetings.
tdc was responsible for planning and delivering both room changes, including the survey, AV design, schematics, equipment relocation, installation, configuration and commissioning. Our engineers travelled from the UK to complete the work on site in Dublin.

Designing the CrossView room
We surveyed the boardroom and reviewed how the Cisco CrossView equipment could be integrated with its existing front displays, camera, ceiling speakers and amplifier. Our design drawings set out the display and camera positions, mounting details, connections and equipment requirements for the finished room.
The plan retained the boardroom’s two 70-inch front displays and front Cisco Quad Camera. It added four 55-inch side displays, with two mounted on the glass-wall side and two on the opposite wall. Two further Cisco Quad Cameras were positioned at the sides of the room, alongside a front PTZ camera.
Together, these elements give remote participants views across the boardroom rather than relying on a single camera angle. Two Cisco ceiling microphones support audio pickup around the room, while the Cisco Codec Pro brings the conferencing elements together. The design also accounted for HDMI distribution, network connectivity, power, mounting and cable routes so the technology could be installed as a permanent part of the space.
Delivery across two floors
tdc de-installed the CrossView equipment from room 4F04 and relocated it to the fifth-floor boardroom. Our engineers installed the displays, cameras and microphones, integrated them with the equipment already in the room, and configured the system for use.
Once the boardroom upgrade was complete, we reinstated room 4F04 as a standard meeting space. A Cisco Codec Plus and ceiling microphones were installed there, working with its existing dual 85-inch displays, Quad Camera, speakers and amplifier.
The team also addressed untidy cabling from previous works, improving cable management and equipment safety as part of the installation.

Testing and handover
Following installation, tdc tested the complete system. Commissioning covered display operation and content sharing, camera framing and PTZ presets, microphone coverage, speaker levels, Cisco configuration and network integration. The team checked device stability and labelling before completing a walkthrough with Flutter.
The Dublin work was completed within the agreed programme, with both rooms tested and handed over.
The outcome
Flutter now has a permanent Cisco CrossView boardroom designed for meetings where participants are seated across a larger space. The combination of front and side displays, multiple cameras and ceiling microphones gives the room a more complete conferencing setup, while the fourth-floor room remains ready for general use.
The standard of the finished installation was as important to Flutter as the system itself. Ryan highlighted the attention Dean and John paid to the details, from tidying existing cabling to testing the completed rooms.

Client feedback
“Dean and John have done an amazing job onsite. The work has been completed to a very high standard, fair to say it’s some of the best we’ve seen, and we couldn’t have asked for more.”
“The attention to the small details really stood out, re-cabling messy past jobs, tidying as they go, making equipment safer and thoroughly testing everything.”
