One consistent Google Meet experience across a multi-floor headquarters
The challenge
Atom Bank needed a complete AV strategy for its headquarters on Surrey Street in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The building spans several floors and includes a social hub and presentation space, a 14-person boardroom, a training room, seven meeting rooms (including the CEO’s office and an acoustic pod) and seating booths.
The bank wanted a welcoming, brand-forward hub with an LED wall at its centre, together with flexible presentation modes for all-hands events, digital signage and bring-your-own-device sharing. Across the rest of the building, it needed hybrid meetings that were fair to remote participants, with simple, consistent user journeys and one-touch Google Meet join in every space.
Behind this, the technology needed to sit on a reliable AV-over-IP and Dante-ready backbone that could scale, with clean installation, clear labelling and a thorough handover. The project was delivered in partnership with Overbury Northern as main contractor and Richard Ashmore as consultant.

Our solution
tdc designed and delivered a cohesive, multi-floor AV system centred on Google Meet. On the ground floor, a 136-inch LG all-in-one LED wall with a 1.8 mm pixel pitch forms the centrepiece of the presentation space. Sources including BrightSign, Barco ClickShare and Freeview are switched and distributed using Extron equipment, with Extron audio processing, amplification and discreet ceiling speakers providing clear speech reinforcement. An Extron touch panel lets staff switch between presentation and signage modes at the touch of a button, while BrightSign also drives the brand corridor displays and visitor messaging.
The boardroom is fitted with dual 98-inch LG displays, Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2 beamforming microphones and a Crestron Automate VX system that switches between four intelligent cameras based on who is speaking. Users join meetings from a Logitech Tap, with wired HDMI and Barco ClickShare CX-50 Gen2 available for sharing content.
The seven meeting rooms across the first to third floors were standardised on LG 65-inch and 75-inch displays, Logitech Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini and Logitech Tap, with local HDMI for wired sharing. The training room combines a 98-inch LG display, a Logitech Rally PTZ camera and dual Sennheiser ceiling microphones to support workshops, town halls and hybrid training. Netgear AV Line managed switches, Extron processing and Dante networked audio form the backbone across all floors, installed with colour-coded cabling and clear system labelling.

The outcome
Atom Bank now has a standardised, future-ready Google Meet experience deployed uniformly across its headquarters. Whether staff are in the boardroom, a meeting room or the training room, joining a call works the same way, which supports faster adoption and fewer support calls.
Intelligent camera switching, auto-framing video and ceiling beamforming microphones give remote participants clear views and natural audio, making hybrid meetings more equitable. On the ground floor, the LED wall gives the social hub a strong visual centrepiece for town halls, presentations and brand content.
Behind the simple user experience is a robust, serviceable AV-over-IP infrastructure that is unified across every floor and built to scale as the bank’s needs grow.
